Project 3D: Closed-Loop Controlled Construction
Project 3D aims to develop technology for continuous monitoring of the construction process. The fabrication system needs to adapt and correct imprecisions during the fabrication process. Additionally, the Project 3D aims to analyse and integrate feedback through through rapid planning adaptation and real-time redesign of the structure being built. These computational methods will be developed as a COMPAS package. This requires a tight integration of the COMPAS framework as a planning pipeline with the robot operating systems to execute the building process and digitally monitor the ongoing site works.
Project 3D comprises the following work packages:
1) Mapping and remote real time monitoring
2) COMPAS feedback loop
