MAS DFAB: Up-Sticks

Link: V&A Dundee - Up-Sticks

Up-Sticks is a timber structure inspired by traditional wood joinery and construction methods, fabricated using a collaborative human-robotic fabrication technique.

This sculptural structure was commissioned by the V&A Dundee to be exhibited alongside the recent "Hello Robot" exhibition. Designed and fabricated by the MAS Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich under the guidance of Gramazio Kohler Research, the exhibition piece represents ongoing development of robotic timber to timber fabrication supported by the NCCR Digital Fabrication.
