FDP Women Canton Zurich visit the RFL

During the event, ETH Vice President of Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations Prof. Dr Vanessa Wood and FDP Government Councillor and Director of Economic Affairs Carmen Walker Späh spoke about how Swiss institutions can get more women interested in STEM professions. They presented the Mint & Pepper project by Wyss Zurich (ETH Zurich / University of Zurich) to promote young talent. RFL Laboratory Manager Mike Lyrenmann introduced the NCCR DFAB and gave the participants a tour of the laboratory, where the event ended with an aperitif.

The ‘Women in Tech’ initiative of the Canton of Zurich, ICT-Berufsbildung Schweiz, digitalswitzerland and taskforce4women highlights measures to get young women and career changers interested in these professions.
