Beril
Önalan
Beril Önalan is an architect and researcher with a focus on parametric design, digital fabrication and robotics in the field of architecture. Previously Beril has practiced as an architect in Turkey and worked as a teaching assistant for architectural design, drawing and fabrication courses at METU. Beril received her master’s in architecture from Middle East Technical University in 2020 and Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication from ETH in 2021 with the master thesis “Skin and Bone: Eggshell 3D Printed Formwork with Mesh Mould Reinforcement”. Since 2022 Beril is a PhD researcher in the Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture where she is working on Innovation for Circularity in Digital Fabrication.
