López López
David López López is Assistant Professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and Academic Guest at Prof. Dr. Kaufmann’s Chair of Structural Engineering (ETHZ). He gained his Master in Architecture at the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM, UPM) and his PhD at ETH Zurich within the Block Research Group. He also holds a Master in Technology in Architecture from UPC and a Master in Structural Analysis of Historical Constructions (Universidade do Minho).
His research focuses on the efficient and economic construction of structurally-optimized, form-found shapes and is characterized by an innovative use of traditional construction techniques combined with contemporary tools and technology.
