René Jähne is now the Technology Transfer Manager - Technische Hochschule Augsburg.
René was the Knowledge and Technology Transfer officer for the NCCR Digital Fabrication from 2015 to its conclusion in 2026. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, and completed his doctorate at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in the area of material characterisation and -modelling. In his research. After completing his PhD, he co-founded a technology start-up specialising in the development of robotic grippers for precision mechanics. While at the NCCR DFAB René coordinated numerous joint industry collaborations, successfully developed funding for projects, and supported the development of 12 spin-off and start up companies.
