Panayiotis
Papacharalambous
Panayiotis is an architect and researcher with a keen focus on computational design and programming. Originally from Cyprus, he studied architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), where he obtained a Diploma of Architect Engineer. He later worked in Barcelona at LaMáquina by Noumena, where he was involved in projects across digital fabrication, robotics, and large-scale 3D printing, taking part in all stages from concept design and planning to final execution.
In 2023, he joined the MAS in Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich, where his thesis focused on designing and fabricating complex interlocking timber-to-timber structures using the open-source COMPAS Timber package.
Work Topic
As a member of the Digital Timber group at Gramazio Kohler, Panayiotis draws on the experience gained from his work on timber frame structures and timber joinery to contribute to the further development and application of COMPAS Timber.
