Alumni
Rik Bähnemann started working as a researcher at Autonomous Systems Lab in June 2016. While participating in multiple robotics challenges, he gained expertise in field robotics, including system design, teamwork, and aerial robot deployment. He started his Ph.D. in February 2017, where he developed an autonomous drone with ground-penetrating radar for humanitarian landmine detection. His research spans millimeter-precision sensor fusion as well as general robotic path planning. Since April 2022, he has been pursuing a PostDoc with the goal of robust robotic state estimation and mapping in building site environments.
