After completing his bricklaying apprenticeship, Theo Bürgin sought new challenges for his craft. while travelling in Los Angeles he worked in the film industry/decoration where he discovered his passion for creative design using traditional masonry methods and mineral based materials. With the intention of continuing this work, he returned to Switzerland to invest his experience in the newly founded company Bürgin Creations.
Bürgin Creations has been a key collaborator for a number of DFAB projects. As a partner for the HiLo shell roof, Bürgin collaborated to develop the construction staging and concrete application processes. For the DFAB House Bürgin, supported development of the Smart Slab and MeshMold wall. He has continued to consult on projects such as the Striatus Bridge and Tor Alva.
