Collaboration

Due to the complex and interdisciplinary nature of the architecture and construction disciplines, the NCCR Digital Fabrication places great emphasis on collaboration in research and projects. By engaging experts across many fields - including robotics, engineering, material science, computer science and design - our research is developed robustly and competently to respond to the complex requirements of real-world applications.

All research projects within the NCCR Digital Fabrication engage designers, engineers and scientists. NCCR Demonstrator projects are used to validate innovations in materials, technologies and processes. Such full scale implementation projects are made possible through engaged collaborations with our wide range of external partners from both industry and society.

  • A full list of completed collaborative demonstrators can be seen on our Projects page.
  • Our external industry collaborators are listed on our Partners page.
  • If you are interested in engaging in join-industry collaboration with the NCCR please see our Industry Engagement page.
  • For a full list of the disciplines and specialities within the NCCR DFAB please see our listing of Professorships.

Together, the NCCR Digital Fabrication and its partners from industry and practice are developing a culture of collaboration for the advancement of construction and architecture.
