Arash Adel is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Prior to joining Taubman College, he was an NCCR Digital Fabrication associated Ph.D. Research Fellow at the Chair of Architecture and Digital Fabrication at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. In October 2015, he was awarded one of ETH’s prestigious and highly competitive “Architecture & Technology” doctoral fellowships. In his doctoral research, he contributed to the widely published DFAB HOUSE and led the computational design of its robotically fabricated timber frame structure. He holds a Master in Architecture from Harvard University.
