Seiichi Suzuki is a postdoctoral researcher at the Geometric Computing Laboratory (GCM) of Prof. Mark Pauly at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). In 2020, after being awarded with the title of Doctor in Engineering from the University of Stuttgart for his doctoral thesis on interactive simulations for design applications of bending-active and textile hybrids structures, Seiichi worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Bio-inspired Lightweight Design Research Group at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) Helmholtz Center. Between 2013 and 2019, he held a research position at the Institute for Building Structures and Structural Design (ITKE) of Prof. Jan Knippers at the University of Stuttgart where he was involved in the development of the ITECH master’s program.
