After finishing high school at the Kantonsschule Seetal in Baldegg, Seraina started studying civil engineering at the ETH Zurich. During her master studies she received the Excellence Scholarship (ESOP) of the ETH Zürich and finished in July 2019 specializing in construction and geotechnics. In her master thesis, she investigated the load-deformation behaviour of knitted textile reinforced concrete ties. During her studies she worked as a junior assistant at the institute of structural engineering and held practice lessons. She gained her first practical experience in two internships in engineering offices in Cham.
