Dr. Yvonne R. Stürz received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in mechanical engineering from TU Munich, Germany, and the Diplôme d’Ingénieur in general engineering sciences from EC Paris (now CentraleSupélec), France. She joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication in 2014 as a PhD at the Automatic Control Laboratory, ETH Zurich, studying novel methods for on-site precision form control of lightweight flexible formwork and on distributed control of interconnected systems. In 2019, she was awarded the prestigious Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Global Individual Fellowship. Since October 2019, she has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Model Predictive Control Laboratory at UC Berkeley, USA, and is also affiliated with the Automatic Control Department at KTH, Sweden. Her current research focuses on learning-based optimal control of multi-agent systems.
