Andreas
Luible
Andreas Luible is the Head of the Competence Centre for Building Envelopes and responsible for the study programme Building Envelopes at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Switzerland. He studied civil engineering at the Technical University Munich, Germany, where he received his diploma in 1999. In 2004, he finished his PhD at EPF Lausanne, Switzerland. From 2004 until 2010, he was working as a senior façade engineer for the international façade companies Schmidlin Fassaden Technologie AG, Josef Gartner Switzerland AG, and YUANDA Europe Ltd. In his research, he investigates the design of glass, novel façade technologies and materials, the design of energy efficient building envelopes, and adaptive facades. Since 2015, Andreas Luible is also the Chairman of COST Action TU1403 “Adaptive Facades Network”. In June 2018, he joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication as an associated investigator.
