FT2 Digital Concrete
Concrete is a strong, versatile and essential construction material, but it also is one of the least sustainable. Research on Digital Concrete investigates how to improve the impact of concrete using material science, new formwork techniques and new automated fabrication technologies. Digital Concrete investigates 3D printing, spraying, and casting of new structural systems and building components, and how to reduce and optimise concrete use to improve its sustainability.
