Mira Dedijer Zimonja studied Civil Engineering at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. She completed her Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with a focus on concrete structures, after which she gained professional experience as an Engineer. In 2015, Mira joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication as a researcher at the IBOIS-Laboratory for timber construction at EPFL University, Lausanne. Her research focused on investigating the load-bearing properties of an innovative CNC-fabricated integral joint connections, with an application in construction of timber plate structures. In 2017, Mira started working for Schnetzer-Puskas-Ingenieure, one of the leading designing companies in Switzerland as Structural Engineer. Thereafter she joined one of the Swiss leaders in the construction Industry, Emch+Berger Group, as a Project Leader.
