Alumni
Benedikt Kowalewski received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in architecture from ETH Zurich. After gaining professional experience in real estate consulting as well as in architecture and landscape architecture offices, he returned to the chair of Professor Christophe Girot at the ETH.
Since 2017 he has been working as a teaching and research associate at the Chair for Landscape Architecture of Professor Christophe Girot. In addition to his current work as a PhD researcher, Benedikt Kowalewski is the leader of the DesignLab and coordinator of the Landscape Visualization and Modeling Lab in cooperation with the PLUS.
Work Topic
His research focuses on improving the human-machine communication of landscape designers using the HEAP. Especially on the design side, new tools and approaches need to be developed to visualize and control the new, flexible robotic landscape design process. The whole process is to be tested and optimized on a large scale prototype.
