Her M.S. thesis was focused on the investigation of the effect of a new accelerating admixture (developed by Mapei S.p.A.) on the microstructure and hydration kinetics of tricalcium silicate by a numerical and experimental point of view.
From January to May 2015, she studied at the Department of Geosciences and Geography of the University of Helsinki (Finland).
She completed her B.S. degree in Geological Science in December 2013 at Università degli studi di Padova (Italy).

Work Topic

Federica's PhD work is focused on the development and optimization of compatible activators and non-commercial superplasticizers in new low clinker cements for the Swiss mass market.
