Bischof
Patrick graduated 2011 at ETH Zürich before working as a design engineer in practice in the fields of structures and geotechnics for 4 years. Since 2015, he has elaborated various research and consulting projects in the Chair of Structural Engineering – Concrete Structures and Bridge Design. In September 2018, he joined NCCR Digital Fabrication as a PhD student.
Work Topic
Conventional concrete construction processes are highly efficient. Improving digital fabrication processes to build conventional structures is insufficient. This project aims at rethinking classical concepts of structural concrete to identify new opportunities for fast, sustainable and economic design and production offered by digital fabrication.
