Dr. Timothy Sandy received his PhD in robotics, as a part of the NCCR Digital Fabrication, in 2018. His research focuses on robotic building construction, with interests in robotic system design, state estimation and sensor fusion, motion planning and control for mobile manipulators, and visual tracking of digital building models. In 2020, he was awarded an ETH Pioneer Fellowship and is now building a spinoff to provide augmented reality guidance tools to construction workers.
