Nitish Kumar received his B.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2009) and his dual M.Sc. degree in control and robotics from Warsaw University of Technology and Ecole Centrale de Nantes (2011). He holds a Ph.D. degree (2014) in automation and robotics from the University of Strasbourg. At the NCCR Digital Fabrication, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher from June 2015 to November 2019. His primary research interests include robot mechanisms and soft robotics and its applications to different fields, in particular addressing mobility and manipulation challenges.
